Dr. Zhepeng (Lionel) Li is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the IIM area at the Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Hong Kong. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations and Information Systems from the University of Utah. His research focuses on computational design science, with an emphasis on leveraging artificial intelligence technology and big data analytics to address business and societal challenges.

Dr. Li has published in leading journals across disciplines, including Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and ACM Transactions. His research work has been supported by General Research Fund (GRF) from the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong, Discovery Grant (DG) from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and General Program from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has been honored with the Design Science Research Award from INFORMS ISS. Lionel currently serve as an Associate Editor at MIS Quarterly, Vice President of College on AI at INFORMS, and Co-chair of Summer Workshop on AI for Business.
